About Us

Wrangell-St. Elias Tours provides tours and transportation services to Alaska's Wrangell-St. Elias National Park from Anchorage and the Copper River Valley.

Our trips take you far into areas of stunning scenic beauty, and astounding history.

We have a small staff of well-known and respected drivers who are local to the area.

On these trips, we are happy to share our personal knowledge of life in this region of Alaska.

Many topics of conversation come up on your drive, from mining history, the history of the Copper River Northwestern Railroad, to methods of fishing salmon, climbing mountains, or life here in the winter.

We can tell true tales of pioneers and native people, teach you about homesteading, or discuss the geology and formation of the Wrangell Mountains.

We will likely entertain you with our own stories (we can also help you identify plants, mountains, and wildlife) but we can just be quiet and let you sleep (although we hate that!)

Groups are kept small so we can hear each other talk. This also makes it easier to stop often, for stretching the legs and capturing amazing photographs.

Wrangell-St. Elias Tours has been providing reliable summer van services since 2001.

We are located at mile 7.8 Edgerton Highway in Kenny Lake, Alaska -- 26 miles before the Chitina gateway to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.

Our tours offer unique local insight into the astounding natural and human history in the Wrangell and St. Elias mountain region.

Our shared van service from Anchorage is the most time and cost-effective way for backpackers and solo travelers to access the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.

We are a small company with limited seating. Early reservations are recommended.
